Brown first gained recognition during his days as a wide receiver for Notre Dame and he won the Heisman Trophy in 1987 while with the Fighting Irish. The Los Angeles Raiders selected Brown with the sixth overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft and quickly emerged as a star receiver and kick return man. Brown went on to appear in nine Pro Bowls. Brown retired in 2005 after 16 years in the NFL, having amassed 19,682 net yards and 105 total touchdowns.
